Ensure You Are Represented When Interviewed Under Caution
If you are being investigated by the Environment Agency and they suspect that a criminal offence has been committed, they will request an interview under caution.
The interview can be conducted voluntarily and this will generally be arranged at a time to suit all the parties involved. However, if the allegations being brought are serious in nature, it is possible that there may be an arrest. Whatever the circumstances, the interview will be carried out under caution and the interview will be recorded in order for it to be later used as evidence if required.
