Finding out you are to become new parents can be a joyous occasion, and that should not be sullied by stress at work. Knowing what you are entitled to, if anything, in respect of maternity or paternity pay can be confusing. As new parents, you are entitled to certain rights and protections, and this includes protection from discrimination. For example, a woman on maternity leave is entitled to additional protection in relation to any suitable alternative role during a redundancy process.
