Ms F, who is now in her 60s, suffered sexual abuse for a number of years as a child carried out by her father.
She carried the pain of this with her throughout her life and eventually found the courage to report this to police after receiving support through the Truth Project who commenced an investigation.
Although Ms F’s father had died, the abuse took place many years before and the Claim was made over 30 years after the sexual abuse had ended. Ison Harrison were able to assist Ms F to claim compensation from the government’s CICA Scheme and she was awarded £22,000.00.
