Miss N trusted a male friend who invited her into his student accommodation as he had forgotten to get something so that they could go out together.
Whilst in the flat the assailant sexually assaulted Miss N and when he was disturbed by a phone call, stopping him from taking matters further, he acted as if nothing had happened.
Miss N reported the assault to the police and although the police decided that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute the offender, Ison Harrison were able to assist Miss N to claim compensation from the government’s CICA Scheme and she was awarded £2,000.00.
