Apprenticeships at Ison Harrison
We are strong believers in apprenticeships and the benefits they provide. The ability to gain practical experience while studying for a recognised, employer-funded qualification is an attractive option for both individual employees and businesses. We have offered apprenticeships since 2014 and (pre-pandemic) had up to 8 new apprentices per year.
Apprenticeships are advertised as a vacancy and offered to existing employees wanting to gain a qualification and develop their skills and knowledge. We offer a broad range of qualifications from level 2 upwards and subject areas range from Law (e.g. paralegal / CILEx), Business and Administration, HR and IT. In 2021, we launched an SQE Apprenticeship, which offers prospective solicitors a route to qualification without incurring course fees.
Apprenticeships are usually offered on a fixed-term contract for the duration of the training programme however we aim to offer a permanent position upon completion. Many of our former apprentices are still at Ison Harrison and are continuing to develop their careers with us.
