Ison Harrison spent the week defending a man charged with causing death by dangerous driving at York Crown Court. Following a four day trial the jury returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty. It was an excellent result in a particularly difficult and tragic case involving two close friends who were involved in a motorbike accident at low speed.
Ison Harrison instructed barrister George Hazel-Owram of St Pauls Chambers to present the evidence and a consultant neurologist who provided expert medical evidence on the cause of death. The case involved a number of technical legal arguments and presented numerous challenges to the defence team. As such, this represented a great result for the firm and for the defendant in particular.
