On Saturday 19th November 2016, Ison Harrison will be attending a charity ball in support of Little Hiccups, a Leeds based support group for families who have a child with disabilities or special needs.
Representing our firm, we have a number of solicitors from different departments attending the event. Managing Partner Jonathan Wearing will be in attendance with James Thompson, our Head of Clinical Negligence who has formed a close relationship with Little Hiccups over the last few years and helped to organise Ison Harrison’s involvement with the local support group.
In addition to James’ continued relationship with Little Hiccups, we have invited special guests from the national Erb’s Palsy Group who are keen to help and support local initiatives such as Little Hiccups as part of their continued mission. Karen and Gary Hillyer will be representing the Erb’s Palsy Group charity at the event.
Members from our New Build Property team will be attending, occupying 2 tables on the evening. Head of the department, Jenny Bland, has invited her close contacts to attend and show their support too.
As part of Ison Harrison’s support for the event, we have donated a couple of raffle prizes including a pair of X Factor tickets. In addition, we are proud to be able to say we have booked a table for some of the families of Little Hiccups that otherwise would not be able to go to the event.
The charity ball is taking place at the Leeds Marriot hotel and includes a drinks reception followed by a three course meal and live entertainment with a disco. Over 230 people are expected to attend and the evening promises to be a great opportunity for raising the profile of a much-deserved local initiative.
Head of Clinical Negligence, James Thompson, commented:
“Our relationship with Little Hiccups, both on a personal level and as part of the firm, continues to grow and we’re honoured to be involved with this charity ball. With more awareness around local support groups such as Little Hiccups, families that have special needs and disabilities can be reassured that they are also supported by firms such as Ison Harrison.”
