On a Thursday evening, The Snappy Trust host the Senior Snappy group, open to young people aged between 17 -25. During this session, the Senior Snappy group get involved in activities such as games nights, pamper nights and discos, and they have even visited the Pantomime at Christmas!

The Senior Snappy group are also often visited by Next Door But One, a Community Arts Collective, who deliver theatre workshops on a range of topics to help teach and develop useful life skills.

The Snappy Trust also open their doors to children between the ages of 5-12 and young people aged between 12- 19 on alternative Saturdays throughout the year, excluding school holidays. During these sessions, The Snappy Trust offer a wide range of activities designed to encourage personal growth and social development.

The children and young people who attend The Snappy Trust on a Saturday will look forward to engaging in actives such as baking, playing with a huge number of toys, and day trips into York City Centre.

The Snappy Trust also offers summer workshops to those aged between 5-12 and 12-19. These are run both on site and at external locations. In Summer 2021, the children and young adults at The Snappy Trust had fun doing activities such as crazy golf, picnics, arts and crafts, trips to the park, and bowling.

How are we supporting The Snappy Trust?

The work undertaken by The Snappy Trust is inspiring. They have such huge ambitions that as a small, local charity, without the fundraising capacities of large national charities, they are unable to fulfil.

One of the ways that we are supporting The Snappy Trust is by becoming one of their Club 100 members. The Snappy Trust Club 100 is a fund raising initiative designed to support annual funding for The Snappy Trust through York’s business community.
By becoming one of their Club 100 members, we are dedicated to making an annual donation to help The Snappy Trust achieve their ambitions.

Ison Harrison were delighted to make an initial donation to The Snappy Trust of £1000. Service Manager at The Snappy Trust, Anne, was blown away with the donation and says that the money will help to fund off-site activities such as a boat trip along the River Ouse during the summer, a trip to the cinema, and a day out to the bowling alley.
